Cross-cultural Education and Curriculum Development

I teach classes in Japan from time to time. These classes introduce informal logic and rhetoric, through texts such as Plato's Phaedrus and Aristotle's Rhetoric, to students who have completed their primary and secondary education under curricula not designed around critical thinking. Although I'm interested in theories of rhetoric, these classes are an experiment in adapting rhetoric to education as a practice.

 

Textbook Development
