Website design and development

 

The site is an online community for students spread across the globe. I added interactive features that would encourage student involvement, including:

• Online profiles: Students can post photos and personal information, which can be updated using a PHP form, also included in the site.
• Student world map: students can mark their location on a world map, and see where their classmates have traveled. They can also mark suggested restaurants and sites near their exchange university.
• Discussion board: a PHP discussion board is part of the site. The students can post and respond to comments, and upload sharable files and images.
• Password protection: the site can only be accessed with a pre-assigned usernames and passwords, to protect personal information.

• The site is in Japanese and English, and displays with your browser set to UTF-8 encoding.
